Low Carb Induction Recipe

A low carb induction recipe should be very low in carbs as the induction phase is very restrictive. Low carb diets typically have a first phase called an induction phase that lasts for the first 2 weeks of the diet. During this time you are restricted (usually to under 20 grams of carbs) as to how many carbs you can eat. This is to get your body into “fat burning” mode and help rid you of cravings for high carb foods.

During this time, the foods you are allowed to eat can get pretty boring, therefore a good low carb induction recipe can really give you a boost towards reaching your goal of staying on the diet until the next phase!

When selecting low carb induction recipes, make sure you take into account all the other foods you will be eating. You might find an interesting recipe that has 15g carbs, but that means that you’ll only be able to eat 5g the rest of the day!

Also, pay close attention to the serving size. If you are used to heaping your plate, then you are probably going to ingest a lot more carbs than you think. Take the time to really look at how small a serving is. In order to only ingest the amount of carbs called out in the recipe, you must limit yourself to the serving size.
